The Decline of Indentured Servitude
This article provides a great amount of detail on why the decline of indentured servants occurred and how the indentured servants were treated. It states the the reasons for the decline included the rise of slave labor, changing patterns of immigration and eventually laws against bound servitude and the rise of wage labor. It was interesting that the article pointed out about how living in Africa was a "death sentence."

I found this article interesting, because it gave a better understanding on why indentured service was taken over by slavery. I was a little confused to what the reasons where when reading the chapter in the book, but this reading cleared up all the questions I have. It gives a clear understanding on the decline of indentured service and provides other great details as to what they did. Good choice of an article.
